This coffee is built around adventure, that adventure is the story of Long Miles Coffee Project. Ben and Kristy Carlson had a vision that was way bigger then themselves and they moved to Burundi to follow the call. You can read more about this incredible journey on their website here.
This particular coffee is produced by 1553 families farming on twenty different hills in the northern province of Burundi called Ngozi right by the border of Rwanda. The Nyamuswaga river runs through these coffee hills create a beautiful lush wetland perfect for growing a diverse crops such as bananas, maize, potatoes, beans, cassava, sweet potatoes and peas. The addition of this crops bring nutrient value and shade to the hills where the coffee is grown.
