Burundi, Gaharo Hill
Gaharo Hill, is the Hill where it all started for the Carlson's and Long Miles Coffee. The first washing station built by Long Miles sits on the foot of Gaharo Hill, that is Bukeye Washing Station. The farmers, about 322, of them cleared the land for the station, dug up clay from the valley below to make the bricks that would become Bukeye.
The impeccable standards of the Long Miles team
produces some of the cleanest tasting coffees we’ve ever encountered
that faithfully and delicately translate terroir which in this coffee
presents high toned flavors with tense structure.
It is built around adventure. That adventure is the story of Long Miles Coffee Project. Ben and Kristy Carlson had a vision that was way bigger than themselves and they moved to Burundi to follow the call. You can read more about this incredible journey on their website here.
