Space to Dream
Our new headquarters, nestled once again in the Superior National Forest, was designed by Kyle Huberty and built by longtime friends (and Fika fans) Woody Seim and Geoff Attleson. Together with our architects, they brought to life our belief in cultivating beauty through work—creating a space that’s as intentional as it is inviting.
At 2,500 square feet, it gives us the room we need to roast, grow, and dream.

Think of the new building as the Fika Headquarters. This building was designed and built with production in mind, so this is a production-forward space. This new place will allow us to roast more coffee. Since day one, our goal has been to be a coffee roaster, roasting coffee and shipping it down Highway 61 to the people! While this space will prioritize our roasting and wholesale work it also gives us the opportunity to be intentional about other priorities.
We don’t want this to be just a place where work gets done, but also desire for it to be a place for our employees to “be”, to continue to grow and cultivate not just in their work but in their whole being.

Welcome to our new roastery! Join our production and roastery team on a guided and educational tour of our new facility while we are in full swing of roasting, packaging and shipping out coffee.
Tours run 10:30am - Noon
Each tour includes an in depth look at our new roasting facility, discussion on green bean purchasing and importing, coffee roasting and our production flow. We will round it all out with a "fika" (a moment together over coffee and a sweet treat) and an opportunity for Q&A.
Our favorite coffees will be brewed up, and each attendant will leave with a 12oz bag of coffee (coffee choice dependent upon availability)
- Tour includes walking and standing
- Production facility can be loud at times
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes early - tour will begin at 10:30
- fika treat is a local, seasonal, baked good. We can not accommodate dietary requests.
- Group size limited to 8 participants

Built for People
When designing this space, we wanted it to feel like home and a place that people would choose to be. The bathroom has a full shower along with a washer and dryer for employee use. The kitchen is very much a glorified staff kitchen, while we future proofed it to hopefully do some sort of food in the future, it’s equipped with a full fridge, stove and microwave. We even built a sauna with a picture window that looks out into the forest, we host staff saunas monthly! This is available for staff to use as they wish.
Attached to the east end of the roastery we have a studio apartment that we rent out for employees. With housing being a major hurdle for the majority of folks moving or living here in the county, we wanted to do our part.
Learn MoreCoffee with a Purpose
At Fika, great coffee is just the beginning. What drives us is connection. We roast and brew because we love people—and we believe coffee can be a catalyst for community. Whether we’re working from a shed or a state-of-the-art facility, that will never change.
