Hey! Great news! Fika Coffee is hiring!
Why is this good news? First, because maybe one of our readers (maybe you!) has been harboring a secret desire to work at Fika. Well, desire no more, because now's your chance!
Second, because this means business is flourishing and we need some more help. Summer is looming and we anticipate slinging drinks and beans from dawn until dusk and we can't do it alone. We're thrilled (and, to be honest, a little nervous) to welcome a couple of new folks to the Fika family.
And third, because, well, just because! Hiring people makes us feel like the real deal. It's validating, you know? And we couldn't be happier.
So, without further ado, here's the advertisement we just put out into the wide world. Pass it on, if you happen to know anyone who'd love to work for us. While it certainly isn't the type of job you'd relocate for, we think it'll be fun. And fun is sometimes the only reason a person needs.
Fika Coffee is an up and coming roaster retailer located in Lutsen, MN. We are a small family run business with a big vision, a love for people and coffee and a passion for our community.
We are excited to announce that we have two part-time positions open for hire.
Host: Our host is the first person our customers see when they walk in the door. Being energetic, people-oriented and friendly are musts for this position. Primary duties include greeting, answering questions and taking orders.
Barista: Our barista, to put it plainly, is the coffee maker. An understanding of all our espresso and coffee-based drinks will be necessary. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in fast-paced scenarios are ideal qualities in a barista.
These positions, however, are not limited to the above descriptions and often will overlap. Realistically, duties may also include washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, laughing, taking out the garbage, packaging coffee, dancing, delivering coffee, scrubbing the toilet, cracking lame jokes and making new friends.
In short, we’re looking for a couple of fun folks with a sense of adventure, a propensity for people and a strong work ethic. If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you join our family.
